Cardinals’ Lackey to pitch on short rest in must-win Game 4

The St. Louis Cardinals have a do-or-die Game 4 of the National League Division Series in Chicago today.

The Chicago Cubs took Game 3, 8-6, by hitting a team playoff record six homeruns.

The Cardinals will give the ball to Game 1 winner John Lackey (13-10) who will be pitching on three days rest against the Cubs’ Jason Hammel (10-7).
