WJBC, in partnership with Frontier Communications and Roberts Trophies, is proud to present the WJBC Athletes of the Week.

Winners for the week of Dec. 14, 2015:

Sydney Shanks – Central Catholic Girls Basketball

Sydney poured in 22 points with six board in a triumph over U-High, posted 15 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over Eureka and led the Saints with 14 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in a win over Decatur St. Teresa.

Charles Payton – Bloomington Boys Basketball

Charles followed up a 28-point, 12-rebound performance in a win over Hillcrest by posting 24 points and seven rebounds in the Purple Raiders’ win over Peoria Notre Dame.
