Susan Elaine Labelle, 56, of Normal, passed away at 7:51 p.m. on Jan. 3 at her home. Susan was a courageous fighter of Multiple Sclerosis and cervical cancer.
Her memorial service will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday at J.D. Lee & Sons Funeral Home in Rogersville, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Cancer Center, 407 E. Vernon Ave. Normal 61761.
Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with local arrangements.
Susan was born Dec. 28, 1959 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of John D. and Patsy Claudine Cox Crighton. She married Charles Labelle on March 24, 1990 in Springfield, Mo. He survives.
She is also survived by her parents, John and Patsy Crighton of Springfield, Mo., a daughter, Madeleine Labelle of Bloomington, three step-children, Charles (Monica) Labelle of France, Kurt (Lisa) Labelle and Courtney (Garrett) Jackson, both of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Mike (Claudia) Crighton of Springfield, Mo. and two step-grandchildren, Hailey Labelle and Riley Jackson.
Susan attended Drury University in Springfield, Mo. and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making jewelry. She loved her miniature Dachshund, Lacey Lou and playing games with family. Susan was always putting a smile on everyone’s face!
