Redbird baseball opener, softball, women’s hoops on WJBC

The Illinois State women’s basketball team looks to rebound, after suffering losses to the MVC’s first- and second-place teams on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena last weekend, when it hits the road to face a couple of in-state foes in Loyola tonight.

Zach Dietmeier and Taylor Morano have the call at 6:45 p.m. on WJBC 1230 AM, WJBC.com and the WJBC app.

The Illinois State baseball team begins the 2016 season with a three-game series at Belmont, starting with today’s 4 p.m. series opener, at E.S. Rose Park, in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Illinois State softball team will head west this weekend for a five-game trip at Arizona State in Tempe, Arizona. The Redbirds enter the weekend with a 1-4 record after opening the season at the University of South Florida. The Redbirds open the weekend at 12:15 p.m. today against Memphis. Later in the day, ISU will take on Montana at 2:30.
