IWU in CCIW Tournament; Thunder, ISU baseball, softball on WJBC tonight

Ten years after Illinois Wesleyan defeated Augustana in the first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin men’s basketball tournament, Wesleyan returns to Rock Island in hopeing of taking down the No. 1-ranked Vikings.

IWU plays the host Augie in the second semifinal of the CCIW Tournament in a scheduled 7 p.m. tip. The winner will play the winner of Elmhurst vs. North Central which starts at 5.

Eric Stock and Joel Swanson have the call starting at 7 p.m. on WJBC 1230 AM, WJBC.com and the WJBC app.

Nick McClintock will host Sportstalk at 6.

The Bloomington Thunder continue their weekend three-games-in-three-days road trip with the first of back-to-back games against the Youngstown Phantoms. Puck drops at 6 on WJBC.com.

The Illinois State softball team is fresh off of a two-win weekend at Arizona State, and will hit the road again. ISU travels to Louisiana State in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for four games. The Redbirds will play LSU and Texas Tech two times each. Tonight’s game vs. host LSU begins at 6 on WJBC.com.

Redbird baseball continues its four-game series at No. 9 Oregon. First pitch scheduled for 8 p.m. on WJBC.com.
