Mary A. Bromley, 77, of Bloomington, formerly of Pontiac, passed away at 8:15 a.m. on March 4 at her home.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Dr. Donald Jackson officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Southside Cemetery in Pontiac.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Cancer Center in Normal.

Mary was born on Aug. 24, 1938 in Pontiac, Illinois, a daughter of Julius and Dolores Opperman. She married Richard Bromley on Oct. 9, 1959 in Pontiac. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Michael Bromley of Phoenix, Ariz. and Linda (Dan) Gerber of Bowling Green, Ohio; two grandchildren, Davis and Drake Gerber, both of Bowling Green, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Juliene and her son, Steven.

Mary grew up in Pontiac and later moved to Bloomington.

She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, First United Methodist Church in Normal and the United Methodist Women Association.

Mary was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
