Thunder seek playoff berth tonight

The Bloomington Thunder can clinch a United States Hockey League playoff berth with a win tonight at the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

The Thunder (33-18-3-1) are nine points ahead of the Youngstown Phantoms for the fourth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with five games remaining for both clubs.

The Illinois State baseball team will try to put an end to a season-long five-game losing streak when it heads to New Orleans, Louisiana, for a three-game series at Tulane, beginning Friday.
First pitch tonight is set for 6:30 p.m. on WJBC.com.

The Illinois State softball team will put the finishing touches on a 30-game road trip this weekend with a three-game series at Southern Illinois starting with a doubleheader today.
