Nancy Carol Gernentz, 57, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:10 p.m., March 20 at her daughter’s residence in Fairbury.
Cremation has been accorded.
There will be a memorial service held at 11:00 a.m., April 9 at Fairbury Baptist Church. Pastor Daryl Evans will be officiating.
Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the Church.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
Nancy was born Oct. 12, 1958, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Lynn and Thelma Thurmond Bolden. Her father preceded her in death.
She married Darrel Gernentz in 1996. He passed away in September of 2015.
Surviving are her two daughters, April (Dan) Bradley of Fairbury and Virginia (Robert) Compton-Wade of Oklahoma; mother, Thelma Bolden of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Siera Simpson, Ariel Bradley and Dominic Bradley; great-grandchild, Kayden Kennis and great-grandson to be born in two weeks; sisters, Shirl (Billy) Barnes of Chenoa and Dianne (George) Smith of Missouri; and brother, Lynnard Bolden of Chenoa.
Nancy cleaned homes in the Fairbury area.
