WJBC Athletes of the Week: April 11, 2016

WJBC, in partnership with Frontier Communications and Roberts Trophies, is proud to present the WJBC Athletes of the Week.

Winners for the week of April 11, 2016:

Ally Weigand – Tri-Valley Softball

Ally recorded 19 strikeouts and pitched a complete game 2-hitter in the Vikings’ win over GCMS. She followed that up with a six-inning, 16-strikeout perfect game in which the Vikings beat Hartsburg-Emden.

Jake Armstrong – U-High Baseball

Jake pitched 2 complete games this week allowing only 2 earned runs over 14 innings in wins over Rock Island Alleman and Eureka. He also drove in five runs while batting 5 for 10 and had a bases clearing double in a win over Central Catholic.
