BLOOMINGTON – Late in the month of March, the Bloomington Thunder clinched their first berth in the Clark Cup Playoffs in just their second season.

The Thunder ended the regular season with a 36-18-5-1 record and picked up points in 14 of their final 15 games. They are now set to take on the Anderson Cup Champion Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the Eastern Conference semifinals in the 2016 Clark Cup Playoffs.

The Thunder will play at Cedar Rapids in Games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday nights at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. Game 3 will be April 22 at 7:30 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Game 4, if necessary, will be in Bloomington on April 24 at 3 p.m. The series would move back to Cedar Rapids for Game 5 is necessary on April 26.

In the other Eastern Conference semifinal, No. 2 seed Green Bay takes on Dubuque.

In the Western Conference, top-seeded Tri-City hosts Sioux Falls and 2 seed Lincoln skates against Waterloo.
