Daniel Rhodes

Daniel L. Rhodes, 48, of Bloomington, passed away at 6:40 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Bloomington.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.  Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be directed to American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Dan was born February 5, 1968 in Bloomington, the son of Daniel M. and Janice R. Park Rhodes.  He married Sharon Kilpatrick on July 4, 1992 in Bloomington. She survives.

He is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie Rhodes Floyd of Bloomington and Kelly (Bryan) Lane of Minonk and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark Rhodes.

Dan attended Minonk-Dana-Rutland High School.  He owned and operated Dan’s Painting for 5 years and Custom Coatings for 25 years.  He was very established in the community through his customers and easily made friends.

Dan enjoyed camping, fishing, music, his computer and his animals, Sassy, Momo, Brandy and Maxwell.  He was a friend of Bill W.

Dan was a loving husband and soulmate.  He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
