Bloomington to begin fire hydrant testing

BLOOMINGTON – Fire hydrant testing starts Monday in Bloomington. The testing will continue throughout the summer months.

Fire hydrants are tested to identify any that are broken or malfunctioning in your area.

Bloomington fire officials say residents might experience a brief change in the color of your water during this process. They say simply allow the water to flow for a few minutes until it clears.

The Bloomington Fire Department requests all drivers approach and pass emergency vehicles and personnel slowly and with caution.
