Bloomington library hires new director

BLOOMINGTON – Jeanne Hamilton has been hired as the new Bloomington Public Library director.

The library Board of Trustees approved the hire Monday night.

Hamilton comes to Bloomington from Charleston, Ill. where she has been director of the Carnegie Public Library for the past five years. She replaces Georgia Bouda, who retired in December after serving as the library’s director for nine years.

Hamilton will begin work in Bloomington on June 1.
