NORMAL – Illinois State athletics will be taking time to say ‘thank you’ to its supporters.
Athletics director Larry Lyons told WJBC’s Scott Laughlin student athletes, staff and Reggie Redbird will be on hand as the department plans events daily during Community Appreciation Week which runs June 13 -17.

“(We want to) get out and just say thank you to some of our good sponsors, and get a chance for people in the community to come to different venues during the week and meet some folks,” Lyons said. “Obviously the movie night is the big night.”
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is set to play on the big screen at Hancock Stadium on the 17th. Movie night has been rained out the first years it was scheduled.
