EAST PEORIA – Seton Hall recruit Reganne Camp threw another ace of a game as the Normal West Wildcats punched their ticket to the Class 4A State Title game, defeating Downers Grove South in the semifinal 3-1 Friday afternoon.

Camp, who now stands at 24-7 on the season, threw a complete game while giving up seven hits and just the one earned run. Camp also struck out four batters, including two during a tense sixth inning, where Downers Grove South has the bases loaded with just one out.

On the offensive side of the diamond, the Wildcats got six hits and scored one earned run. Two errors lead to scores for both Jessica Jacobs in the second, and Jaxynn Dyson in the fifth. Brooklyn Bane led Normal West with two hits.

The Wildcats will play Oak Park River Forest for the championship. The game is slated to take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Normal West has scheduled a celebration in the school cafeteria for 11 a.m. Sunday,
