BLOOMINGTON – Alan Beaman’s lawsuit against three former Normal police officers will not proceed to trial.
Beaman served 13 years in prison for the 1994 death of ISU student Jennifer Lockmiller. He was released in 2009 after the Illinois Supreme Court threw out his conviction.
He sued three officers from Normal, who he said botched the murder investigation. But a judge in Douglas County ruled Friday the $50,000 lawsuit will not be allowed to go to trial.
