SPRINGFIELD – Republicans have selected a commissioner from Downers Grove to replace Illinois GOP state Rep. Ron Sandack.
The leaders of the Republican Party in DuPage and Will counties on Saturday selected David Olsen, 27, to serve the remainder of Sandack’s term this year. Olsen will also run for a full two-year term in November.
Sandack, R-Downers Grove, resigned his seat over cybersecurity issues involving fraudulent social media accounts allegedly set up in his name.
