BLOOMINGTON – Connect Transit will be holding preview days for riders to get the feel of the new route system, taking effect on Aug. 15.

The first day is Sunday, with a second day taking place on Aug. 14.

“Rides will be free,” said Marketing and Business Development Manager Melissa Chrisman. “Come out, give the new routes a try so that when they fully launch on Aug. 15 you’re ready to go.”

The new routes were approved by the Connect Transit Board of Trustees earlier this year. The route previews will run between 8 a.m. and noon.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
