Shoemaker-Gilmore named CCIW Offensive Player of Week

NAPERVILLE – Illinois Wesleyan senior running back Maurice Shoemaker-Gilmore was named the “Offensive Player of the Week” for football in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin on Monday.

Shoemaker-Gilmore scored three touchdowns and threw for another during a 45-10 win at North Park on Saturday. He rushed for 150 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns, ran a kickoff back 88 yards for a touchdown and threw a 32-yard score in the third quarter. The 88-yard return was the sixth-longest kickoff return in Titan history.

A business administration major at Illinois Wesleyan, Shoemaker-Gilmore is the son of Laurie Gilmore and Pat Gilmore.

The Titans host Wheaton on Saturday.
