BLOOMINGTON – Wanda Cotner, 76, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:07 a.m., Saturday, October 08, 2016 at her home.
Her memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thedes, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Community Cancer Center, Normal, Illinois.
Wanda was born September 12, 1940 in Hartford, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Fern Hall Woolverton. She married Austin Ray Cotner on July 4, 1958 in Delhi, IL. He died on April 7, 2009.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (David) Madden of Atlanta and Becky (Stan) Wilhoit of McLean; 7 grandchildren, Justin and Brittany Madden and Tanya, Wade, Gavin, Kalie and Brianna Wilhoit; a brother, Allen (Gail) Woolverton of Fosterburg, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Wanda graduated from Illinois State University and worked as a dietician/nutritionist. She was very active in local senior groups including traveling with the group and helping to organize events.
She was a member of Vale Community Church in Bloomington, Home Extension and the Sewing Guild.
