SPRINGFIELD – Weather in Illinois has been warmer and dryer than normal this fall and that looks to continue.
State Climatologist Jim Angel said the state in general will be holding on to early fall temperatures.
“The warmer than normal temperatures are likely to continue into October,” Angel said. “The 6-to-10-day, 8-to-14-day and monthly forecasts for October all points towards above normal temperatures persisting. Those same forecasters are showing Illinois with chances of being drier than normal as well.
