NORMAL – U-High has earned another state golf championship.

The Pioneer boys squad won the Class 2A team title Saturday on their home course, Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University. U-High registered a two-day, 36-hole team score of 624, six strokes better than Marmion Academy of Aurora.

U-High’s Dallas Koth finished in a second-place tie with 148, one stroke back. Parker Wisdom of Central Catholic finished in a tie for fourth place with 149.

In Class 1A at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington, El Paso-Gridley finished ninth. Normal Community’s Rob Wuethrich ended play in a four-way tie for third place, six strokes off the lead with 148 in Class 3A at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington.

In Girls 1A play in Decatur, U-High finished seventh and Central Catholic 10th. U-High’s Maddison Murphy carded a 162 to finish seventh.
