Central Catholic High School’s Madison Tattini earned the Class 1A girls tennis state singles title with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Alessandria Bianco of Chicago Latin Academy on Saturday.
U-High’s Isabel Schaefbauer and Abby Totten took third place in Class 1A girls tennis doubles with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Emma Melichar and Madelyn Skinner of Belleville Althoff.
In Class 1A boys soccer sectional championship play, Cornerstone Christian Academy advanced to Tuesday afternoon’s supersectional contest at Chicago Christian with a 2-1 overtime win over Williamsville. U-High won the Chillicothe Sectional over Peoria Christian 2-1 to advance to Tuesday evening’s supersectional game at Hinckley-Big Rock.
Bloomington boys soccer lost the Class 2A regional championship match to host Washington 3-0, and Peoria Notre Dame captured a 2-0 win over host Normal Community in the Class 3A boys soccer regional title game.
In regular season high school football from Saturday, Robinson defeated Olympia 44-14.
