Madigan hears about absentee ballots

SPRINGFIELD – You’re going to hear plenty about voting and possible fraud over the next week and half and the Illinois Attorney General wants to make sure that voting authorities are doing what they are obligated to do.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan said her office is hearing from people who have requested absentee ballots but have yet to receive one.

“If you did fill out a vote by mail application and you haven’t received a ballot you should monitor that by reaching out to you local election authority,” Madigan said.

Madigan reminds people that you can vote early now throughout the state and you can also wait and vote on Election Day – Nov. 8.
