NORMAL – Working with the indigent and mentally ill as well as being the CEO of a nonprofit makes her ready for a new challenge.

So says Normal Town Councilwoman Cheryl Gaines who is running for Normal Township Supervisor.

“Local government reaches all of us more than any government that goes on up the line,” said Gaines. “All the things that we do here really personally affects everyone.”

The Republican is asking residents in the township to caucus for her at the ARC on December 6th so that she can appear on the April ballot.

Gaines says her goal is to continue to make ARC, the Adult Recreation Center, a top priority among all of the programs of the Normal Township.
