BLOOMINGTON – Concert attendees at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum are getting used to new procedures that were put into effect recently.
Spokeswoman Nikki Dalbey says the new metal detectors at the front door were well accepted.
“From all accounts it went incredibly smoothly,” said Dalbey.”The show was pleased, the patrons seemed to be pleased and we were certainly pleased with how smoothly it went.”
Major concert promoters are demanding more security to protect their talent.
There are also new smoking rules in effect that ban smoking at city owned buildings. Dalbey says even though some smokers were upset, others were happy not to have someone vaping in the seat next to them.
