NAPERVILLE – Alec Bausch’s three-point shot from the top of the key with 4:24 to go gave Illinois Wesleyan its final lead as No. 6 North Central would respond with an 8-0 run to pull away to an 84-75 win in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener at Gregory Arena.

The 16th-ranked Titans would lead for much of the game, surging ahead by nine points in the first half. NCC All-American Alex Sorensen was limited by foul trouble in the first half, but led the way in the second half for the Cardinals scoring a game-high 25 points.
Sorensen’s counterpart, Trevor Seibring, led IWU with 16 points. Brady Rose added 13 points before he fouled out.
The Titans (5-1) host North Park on Wednesday.
IWU women
The Titan women won their CCIW opener in overtime, 118-113, over the Cardinals. Molly McGraw led IWU with 37 points.
