HEYWORTH – Fire crews were called to a small electrical fire at the Huck’s convenience store at 701 W. Cleveland St.
Officials say crews from Heyworth, Bloomington Township and the Bloomington Rapid Intervention Team responded to the fire which was reported at 6:56 a.m.
The fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
McLean County emergency officials say they are unsure of a connection between the fire and a power outages which has affected about 3,500 customers in McLean and Logan counties. There is no word on when power might be restored.
American Red Cross volunteers responded to a house fire in Chenoa on Wednesday.
The fire broke out at the home on the 27000 block of 3100 North in rural Chenoa. Spokeswoman Trish Burnett said the Red Cross is assisting one adult and three children.
