Santa Mink, 90, of Bloomington, passed away at 6:58 a.m., Dec. 19 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

A private family burial will take place in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.  Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Santa was born Nov. 1, 1926 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Manuel and Consepsion De La Rosa Cordero.  She married Raymond Mink on Nov. 22, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he was stationed in the Navy.  He preceded her in death in 1994 at the age of 69, along with many brothers and sisters and a great grandchild, Bodie J. Bauer.

She is survived by three children, Michael (Mary) Mink, Suzy (Terry) Newman, Niki (Bruce) Bauer; grandchildren, Mike (Luci) Mink, Matt (Sharon) Mink, Michelle (Jessie) Oesch, Todd (Diane) Newman, Tammy (Andrew) Pellicer, Derek (Val) Bauer, Michelle (Kato) Lasley; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Santa and Ray moved to Florida in 1977 where they loved to fish and play golf.  She had three holes-in-one playing golf, was a member of VFW for 56 years and loved to play bingo.  She also worked at the family owned Mink’s Model Raceway.
