Chris Kennedy, son of the late U.S. Sen. Robert Kennedy and nephew of former president John F. Kennedy has announced his run for governor of Illinois.
Kennedy is looking to unseat incumbent governor Bruce Rauner. Kennedy previously worked as a businessman in Chicago before moving into the real estate business.
He is the second Democrat to throw in a bid against Rauner, after Chicago alderman Amaya Pawar.
