
BLOOMINGTON – Larry A. Ward, 65, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2 a.m. in his home with his family by his side.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bloomington/Normal American Legion Honor Guard at 4 p.m.

Larry was born on November 25, 1951 in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of James and Rose (Steigberger) Ward. He married Pam Carter on November 5, 1977 in Downs, Illinois.
Larry is survived by his wife Pam of Bloomington, his daughter; Angela (Gered) Traurig of Normal, grandchildren; Adison and Reilly, sister; Nancy (Bill) Jones of Carlock and several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Linda Ward.
He was a graduate of Bloomington High School Class of 1970, He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Vintage Wheels Car Club.
Larry was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan who liked fishing and watching NASCAR. He truly enjoyed using his skills to help build homes with Habitat for Humanity and was proud to serve as a project manager for several of them. Larry dearly loved spending time with his family and he will be truly missed by all of them.
