Bloomington Junior High School is hosting its annual staff vs. students charity basketball game on Wednesday.

The event will raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

She added the students scrimmaged against a SOAR (Special Opportunities Available in Recreation) team that’s preapring for the upcoming spring games.

Many of the student players have also volunteered their time with Special Olympics.

The students’ team will be comprised of members of the eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams.

Admission to the game costs $3, children in preschool and younger get in free. Students will be able to buy wristbands before school in the cafeteria during the week of the game or can pay at the door. T-shirts will also be sold to students and staff prior to the event.
