Michael Harrington

Michael A. Harrington, 56, passed away suddenly on March 23.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, 413 North Main Street, Pontiac, Ill. 61764. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation.

Michael was born April 29, 1960 in Syracuse, N.Y. a son of Duane and Louise (Russo) Harrington. Michael married Mary Yaworski on June 29, 2002. She survives in Odell.

Also surviving are his children: Stephanie (Jason) in Washington, Bradley of Morris, Kenneth of Dwight, Gina (Anthony) of Plainfield and Keith (Ashley) of Broadview; a sister: Margaret of New York. Michael was a grandfather and uncle to many. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Michael served in the United States Air Force for ten years. He served as a volunteer firefighter on both the Odell and Dwight fire department for over ten years. He enjoyed working with the Boy Scout Troop 201 when Kenneth and Bradley were members. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able to.

Michael worked as a truck driver for over twenty-five years. He drove for RR Donnelley, FS Grain, and for Sorrelli Trucking when he passed away.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Mike will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
