Centeno named CIRA deputy director of operations and facilities

BLOOMINGTON – Central Illinois Regional Airport has promoted Javier Centeno as its new deputy director of operations and facilities.

Centeno has been at the Bloomington airport for four years as an operations supervisor. During that time, he’s coordinated emergency drills and safety inspections. In his new role, Centeno will be responsible for the airport’s certification, operations, maintenance and security. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and formerly worked at the Williamson County Airport in Marion.

Centeno graduated from the Multicultural Leadership Program in 2015 and is currently Chairperson of the Conexiones Latinas de McLean County and the McLean County Disaster Council.
