NORMAL – Illinois State men’s basketball has reportedly landed one of the top junior college players in California.
Zach Copeland, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound, shooting guard from Oakland announced on Twitter he plans to sign a national letter of intent with the Redbirds.
Copeland was the California Community College Athletic Association Co-Player of the Year after scoring 18.7 points per game for City College of San Francisco.
Illinois State is barred from commenting on any recruits until they sign. Copeland could sign as early as Wednesday, the first day of the spring signing period. He would have two years of eligibility remaining at ISU.
