athleteoftheweek WJBC Radio, in conjunction with Meatheads of Bloomington-Normal, Clay Dooley Tire and Auto and Roberts Trophies, is proud to present the WJBC Athletes of the Week.

Here are the winners for the week of May 15, 2017:

Sarah LaFayette – U-High Girls Soccer

Sarah scored six goals in a 14-0 win over Peoria Manual in the Class 1A Regional in Normal, then added six goals and an assist in the Pioneers’ 10-0 win over Peoria Christian in the regional title game.

Jake McCaw – Normal Community Baseball

Jake hit two homeruns, including a grand slam, to lead the Ironmen to a 14-0 win over Peoria. He also homered and batted in three runs in a win over Peoria Notre Dame.
