Union Pacific planning crossing repairs in Normal

NORMAL – Union Pacific Railroad will be performing crossing repairs on their tracks in Normal this week.

The project will involve night-time road closures with detours at four separate locations Tuesday and Wednesday.

The closings will be in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday and from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 1 a.m. Thursday at these locations:

Fell Avenue at the crossing between Irving and West Beaufort streets

Broadway Avenue at the crossing between West Phoenix Avenue and West Beaufort Street

Beech Street at the crossing between East Locust Street and Old Fort Jesse Road

Airport Road at the crossing between Old U.S. Route 66 and County Road 1800 North.
