athleteoftheweek WJBC Radio, in conjunction with Meatheads of Bloomington-Normal, Clay Dooley Tire and Auto and Roberts Trophies, is proud to present the WJBC Athletes of the Week.

Janika Peitzmeier – LeRoy Track and Field

Janika became the Panthers first state track champion by winning the 100-meter hurdles (14.55) at the Class 1A state track meet in Charleston.

Jonathon Hasty – El Paso-Gridley Track and Field

Jonathon won three events; 100 meters (11.44 seconds), 200 (23.84) and 400 (52.97) while anchoring the second-place 400 relay (45.04) team at the Class 1A El Paso-Gridley Track and Field Sectional meet.
