Illinois 9 road closure scheduled in McLean County

ARROWSMITH – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that Illinois 9 will be closed to through traffic beginning June 15, weather permitting, through Aug. 15 to replace a box culvert approximately 10 miles east of Bloomington.

Traffic will be detoured to Illinois 165 during this closure.

Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, restrain from using mobile devices and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
