Illinois Wesleyan football receives Top 25 votes in preseason poll

BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan football will play three top 10 opponents in the first half of the 2017 season, based on the D3football.com Top 25 Preseason Poll released Monday.

IWU placed in the “Others receiving votes” category with 10 votes.

College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rivals Wheaton and North Central were ranked No. 6 and No. 7 respectively, while Carthage placed in the “Others receiving votes” category with two votes.

IWU’s season-opening opponent Wisconsin-Whitewater is No. 3. The Warhawks come to Tucci Stadium on Sept. 2. The Titans play at North Central Sept. 16 and visit Wheaton Sept. 30.
