Rosalie Burns
Mrs. Rosalie Marie Burns, 84, of Normal, Ill., passed away at home in the arms of her husband on Aug. 7, 2017.
Rosalie was born July 16, 1933, in Springfield, Ill. the daughter of Lyda (Fulgenzi) and George J. Bryant.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold; their five children, Georgia (Rich) Knerr of Fort Wayne, Ind., David (Elinor) Burns of Houston, Tx., Lori Marsicano of Las Vegas, NV., Charles (Kelly) Burns of Bloomington, Ill., and Thomas (Terry) Burns of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and 5 grandchildren, Brielle Burns, Laura Burns, Eric Burns, Jordan (Amanda) Knerr, and Jennifer Knerr.
Rosalie graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1951, worked at Sangamon Electric for a number of years, and was a dedicated homemaker. She had an unshakable faith in God throughout her full and blessed life. She was a loving, strong wife, a caring mother and grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.

Mary Payton
Mary Ellen Payton, 95, Pontiac & formerly of Chenoa, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. Private burial will be at Chenoa Twp. Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorials be given to the Mary Ellen Payton family.
Mrs. Payton was born April 5, 1922 in Cloverport, Ky. the daughter of Andrew Wayne and Lou Lindsay. She married Boyd V. Payton on December 16, 1939 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1997.
Survivors include 2 sons: Boyd (Melba) Payton, Pontiac; Larry (Ann) Payton, Chenoa; one sister, Louise (Glen) Hamilton, KY and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, one grandson and one great great granddaughter.
