SPRINGFIELD – When it comes to political life in Illinois, it appears 83 is the new 53.
Democrat Secretary of State Jesse White previously announced his fifth and current term would be last, but he has had a change of heart and he made that change official at the Illinois County Chairman Brunch at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield.
The White era began with his first term in 1998.
