Muller signs 7-year contract extension

NORMAL – Illinois State has signed men’s basketball coach Dan Muller to a seven-year contract extension through the 2023-24 season.

Muller enters his sixth season as Redbird hoops coach. He led the Birds to a share of the Missouri Valley Conference title with a program-best league record of 17-1. His Redbirds also set program highs with 25 regular season wins and 28 overall victories last season. Muller has a record of 104-65 since taking over the Redbirds in 2012, including wins over four Top 25 teams.

Muller’s salary will increase from $464,224 to $550,000 this year and then to $600,000 including deferred compensation for 2018-19.
