Marjorie Ann Smith, 84 of Stanford, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 9:12 a.m. at Heartland Health Care, Normal.

Her services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home with Pastor Steve Evans officiating. Following the service burial will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Stanford. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Heartland Health Care.

Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marge was born on June 9, 1933 in Bondville, Ky., the daughter of Sydney and Jean Morgan Norton. She married Harold D. Smith on May 13, 1951 in Harrodsburg, Ky. He passed away on January 15, 1995.

Marge is survived by her children; Gary Smith, Kevin Smith, Michael Smith, Steven (Kimberley) Smith and Pamela (Robert M.) Boitnott all of Stanford, grandchildren; Chad (Sarah Evans) Boitnott, Robert D. Boitnott, Amanda Allen, Stephanie (Bobby Kisner) Smith and Megan (Adam) Reener and nine great grandchildren and her sister Shirley Claunch of Harrodsburg, Ky.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Vernelle Norton.

Marge worked for the Admiral Co. and later for Eureka Williams for over 30 years. She belonged to the Machinists Lodge 1000. Marge loved to go to Kentucky to visit family and traveled throughout the Western States. She grew African Violets and Roses and was a doll collector. Most of all she loved and spoiled her grandchildren.

Marge will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Robert D. Tomaski, 58 of Normal, passed away at 7:41 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at his home.

His family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday Sept. 2, 2017 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. with Deacon Bob Hermes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Bob was born July 28, 1959 in Momence, Ill., the son of Leonard and Helen Mabel (Frank) Tomaski.

He is survived by two sons, Alexander and Nicholas Tomaski, both of Bloomington; and a sister, Roslind (Michael) Ford of Gainesville, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alan Tomaski.

Bob graduated from Illinois State University. He worked in video production, first with his own company, Video Communication Resources, and for several years at ISU before his retirement.
