BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has pleaded guilty to charges that he stabbed two people earlier this year.

McLean County Judge Robert Freitag sentenced Levi Gray, 36, to 15 years in prison on Thursday.

Gray reached a plea agreement on attempted murder charges stemming from a confrontation at the Maple Grove Estates mobile home park in Bloomington in January.

Gray stabbed a female acquaintance and a friend of hers after he came to the man’s home saying he wanted to return some property to her. Police say they recovered a large knife from the scene and saw Gray’s minivan in the area.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
