Carolyn Lighthall

Carolyn Ruth Lighthall, 87 of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 6:29 a.m. at her home.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington with Pastor David Petty officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Nixon TWP Cemetery, Weldon, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn was born on December 11, 1929 in Weldon, Illinois the daughter of Myrl and Lucinda Estella (Sutter) Reeser. She married Calvin Lynn Lighthall on May 4, 1952 in Weldon, Il. He preceded her in death in January 8, 2017.

She is survived by her children; Ron Lighthall of Machesney Park, IL, Dian (Tom) Nealey of Bloomington, Cindy (Charles) Rodberg of Knoxville, TN, Dawn (Mike) Enevoldsen of Bloomington and Tanya (David) Blumenshine of Normal, Grandchildren; Kelli (Ky) Kizzee, Carrie (Alan) Bardwell, Haley (Michael) Black, Justin (Jessica) Wolfe, Lindy (Nic) Lica, Shaun Wolfe, Michael Wolfe, Jason Enevoldsen, Paul Enevoldsen, Brad Lighthall, Rick Lighthall, Lacey (Jake Stovie) Rodberg, Jenna (Kyle) Done, Evan Rodberg, Sherblena (Dontrel) Johnson and Charles (Sheridan) Rodberg jr., Great Grandchildren; Josey, Allie and Kinley Kizzee, Ansley and Avery Bardwell, Luke and Jackson Done, Henry and Calvin Stovie, Shezario, Shelana, Dontrel, Dadien and D’Angelo Johnson, Ruth and Emma Rodberg.

Carolyn had a home day care and raised several children in the Rockford, IL area. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
