BLOOMINGTON – Sue Rutledge, 61 of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 9:36 a.m. at her home.
Visitation will be held for Sue on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorials to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sue was born on January 23, 1956 in Bloomington, the daughter of Herlon K. and Betty J. (Greene) Lyle.
She is survived by her children; Erik P. (Jaci) Rutledge of Heyworth and Jana M. Rutledge of Bloomington, their father; Paul Rutledge of Bloomington, two grandchildren; Alexis and Lucas Rutledge, sisters and brother; Jean Lyle and Judy Lyle, both of Bloomington and Richard (Janet) Lyle of Brookfield, Wis., and her beloved dog “Otis”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Cheryl Tucker, and a niece; Julie McKee.
She worked at Verizon retiring after 22 years. Sue enjoyed going to concerts, traveling, and going on cruises. She loved making her own greeting cards and was an avid collector of anything to do with penguins. Most of all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of them.
