Bloomington police investigating weekend shooting

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1400 block of Lee Street this afternoon.

Bloomington police reported a call was received around 4:18 p.m. that a gunshot was heard near the intersection of Lee Street and Emerson Street. Police said 14-year-old male had been shot in the face. The teen was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated; police also reported the boy was conscious and stable.

Police said an adult male is currently in custody. A gun was also reportedly recovered from the scene.
