ELMHURST – Brandon Bauer threw four touchdown passes and ran for a fifth score as Illinois Wesleyan scored 40 unanswered points in a 47-15 win over Elmhurst at Langhorst Field.
The win gives the No. 11 Titans (8-1, 6-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) a chance to play for at least a share of the league title against Millikin on Nov. 11.

Brauer connected with Jack Healy on a 6-yard scoring strike early in the third quarter to give IWU a 19-15 lead. The Titans would score touchdowns on the first five possessions of the second half.
Brauer’s 5-yard TD run extended the lead to 33-15 early in the fourth quarter. He found Jack Healy in the end zone for a third time midway through the fourth period on a 10-yard slant pass. Healy hauled in a team-high six passes for 84 yards.
Bauer completed 18 of 25 passes for 229 yards and one interception. Morgan Alexander rushed for 120 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown.
