BLOOMINGTON – Illinois Wesleyan senior guard Molly McGraw has been chosen as an honorable mention preseason All-American on the teams selected by D3hoops.com.

Last season, McGraw scored a team-high 16.9 points per game and her 474 points is No. 6 in an IWU single season. She earned honorable mention All-American on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association team, was selected to the second team of the D3hoops.com all-Central Region squads and was a first team all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection. She scored a career-high 37 points against North Central, a mark which ranks third in program history and set an IWU game record with 15 field goals against North Park.

After three seasons, McGraw is No. 12 all-time at Illinois Wesleyan with 1,177 points.

Also a track All-American as a national champion high jumper, McGraw joins Melinda Sprague as the only two Titan women who have been All-Americans in two sports. Sprague was an All-American in both cross country and outdoor track.

The D3hoops.com preseason All-America team is chosen from previous years’ All-American and All-Region nominations.

Illinois Wesleyan opens its regular season on Nov. 17, against Colorado College in the University of Chicago Maroon Invitational. IWU then faces Chicago on Nov. 18.

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
